I will keep you in my prayers, dear Robyn.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle,
be our protection
against the wickedness and
snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into hell Satan
and all the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women, and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

†

May the Lord Jesus Christ grant you strength, courage, and joy.

Hugs~

Robin - my dear sister in Christ…you CAN keep fighting. Yes you Can!!!

Honey, I’ve been where you’re at. I know that pit all too well and remember what it was like to barely get the energy to get out of bed (if not for my bladder’s constant calling and fear of wetting the bed - I would have stayed…)

I’ve heard a saying from a female Christian…“New level - new devil.” Sister, you are such an inspiration to many who read your posts (for those who respond…and for many more who don’t)…you’re doing something right - you’re reaching another “level” in your journey - and the devil is pissed. So what? Let him be…he’s already been beat.

I know how hard it is to pray - to read scripture…but it’s time to fight. Play Christian music around you all the time - drown out those lies that the devil is telling you. If you cannot read scripture - download it and listen to it. If you cannot pray…like you’re used to praying - God doesn’t judge you for that. He knows what you are going through sweetie - He knows. “Help me” will suffice until you can build up your strength.

If you had someone break into your home to try to beat you, steal from you or take someone you love from your house…I highly doubt that you would simply lie down and take it. You would stand up to those robbers, those assaulters, and fight. Well - stand up and fight sister! Someone has come into the home of your heart - and is defiling it’s walls of faith, assaulting you and trying to kidnap your soul. FIGHT!

Surround yourself with all that is good from God - even if you have to listen to it…all day, all night…get out in nature - if you can’t - look at nature pictures on the internet - see what God has done for you…He’s there honey. Just reach out and take His extended hand.

We love you - you are loved - whether you “feel” it or not. And LOVE will put that demon behind you.

Your sister in Christ,
Kerri

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular Robyn p, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

I could really use prayers guys. I’m worn down with some things that are happening in my life right now. I can’t pray, I can’t read Scripture. (I used to not be able to go a day without it.) I can’t talk about the faith or apologetics anymore. I have no energy. I’m just…done.

I feel so alone. There’s this constant darkness gnawing at me. It’s been there in the back of my mind for almost a year now, but it’s finally beaten me, I think. I can be happy for a little, but as soon as I’m not doing something, it comes back. Sometimes even harder than before. There’s something that’s always telling me I’m useless and nothing I say or do matters. That nobody cares or wants me around. I can’t explain where these thoughts are coming from. I’m tired of them, but no matter how hard I pray, they’re always there. Always. I’m sick of it.

My faith feels so brittle. I’m tired of suffering. I’m tired of my life. I need something to change. I can’t keep doing this. Something is going to snap pretty soon. I already feel it. It’s scaring me. I’m turning into a person I don’t like.

Anyways, I would really appreciate prayers.

Thanks.
I will pray for you. And please get help. I have been exactly where you are. If you find a clinic and have a low income, ask if they would see you at a reduced rate. Do not wait.

God be with you -

Ed

Prayer to St. Jude for a Cure to Depression

St. Jude, friend to those in need, please pray to Almighty God to relieve this pestilence of depression. In your compassion, please intercede for researchers who are working for a cure. Intercede for priests, deacons, religious, and laypeople to welcome broken people into the Church. Beseech God to persuade his Church to embrace the depressed even as their tears are flowing. Envelope them in your care, in brightness, and do not hold back. St. Jude, we thank you for your intercession, through Christ Our Lord, amen.

St. Dymphna, pray for us.

Dear Robyn:

I may not know the cause of your pain/depression but most certainly can identify that very feeling of emptiness and fear.
I promise to pray to our Blessed Mother for you daily and heart-fully hope the “gnawing” gets swept away swiftly.
Remember this, “If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it”! ALWAYS!!!

Don’t give up!

Dear Lord Help me to remember in these troubled times
The cross you carried for my sake
So that I may better carry mine
And to help others do the same
As I offer up (your troubles) to You
For the conversion of sinners
for the Forgiveness of sins
In reparation for sins
and for the Salvation of Souls. AMEN

Thank you so much everyone for all your prayers and encouragement. It really means a lot to me. I really think your prayers are making a difference. Yesterday was the first day in a long time those thoughts didn’t come. I was even able to read a little of the Bible. I found this passage, which I remember being one of my favorites, but somehow forgot about it until now. It’s from 1 Corinthians 10:13

*No trial has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tried beyond your strength, but with the trial will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. *

This just popped into my head randomly. I think God was trying to tell me something. Anyways, I’m seeing a little hope again.

A few of you have mentioned talking to a doctor and how that helped a lot. I’m not ready for a professional yet, but I have started talking to someone. Just getting everything out in the open took a huge weight off me. It’s still hard to pray, but I don’t feel like these thoughts have to control me anymore. I really think I need to talk to a priest. Problem is, the one priest I felt close to got transferred to another parish. But his new church isn’t all that far away, maybe I’ll make the drive out there this weekend.

Thanks for those links. Those were really helpful. I must say that the cross really is the only thing that’s keeping my faith alive at this point. It’s hard to get mad at God (even though I still did a couple times :() when I see what he went through for me. I can’t say he doesn’t know what it feels like to be alone and depressed and feel the weight of the world pressing down. He does know.

Your post made me laugh, in a good way. 🙂 Thanks for that. I liked that you said the devil was pissed. That actually gave me a lot of strength. I was starting to fall for his lie that what I do doesn’t matter, but obviously it does matter or he wouldn’t be trying to tell me that.

All of you are so awesome. Thank you again. God is good to have given me this kind of support here.

Robyn - ROCK ON sister!!!

Proud of you - and so proud that we have such an enormously AWESOME Savior!!!

(I am glad you laughed - anything that is totally opposite of “the creep” [devil] - God has given to us to help us fight that slimy slob.)

Still praying for you (as best I can…still very much a Lutheran as I study RCIA - I might get some traditional verbiage wrong) - by my heart for you sister is true - even more so is our God.

Love you SO much in Christ!!! Keep fighting the good fight 🙂

Kerri

I know this is ‘prayer intentions’ but I would just like to quickly quote a little bit out of those books for you that I really liked.
Jesus to Catalina:
The Passion - loveandmercy.org/Eng-TP-Reg.pdf

**1) …Look at Me, My beloved ones. Letting Myself be led with the meekness of a lamb to the terrible torture of the scourging. On My Body, already covered with blows and overwhelmed with fatigue, the executioners cruelly discharge terrible lashes with braided rope, with rods. They punish Me so violently that there was no part of Me which was not prey to the most terrible pain… The blows and the kicks caused Me countless wounds… The rods tore away pieces of My skin and flesh. Blood flowed from all My limbs. Time after time I fell because of the pain caused by the blows to My manliness. My Body was in such a state that I resembled a monster more than a man. The features of My face had lost their shape; it was all swollen.
  1. The thought of so many souls, who would later be inspired to follow My footsteps, consumed Me with Love.
  2. During My hours in prison, I saw the faithful imitators learning from My meekness, patience, and serenity. Not only accepting suffering and scorn but even loving those who persecute them and, if necessary, sacrificing themselves for them as I sacrificed Myself.
  3. During those hours of solitude in the midst of so much pain, I became enflamed, more and more, with desires of fulfilling perfectly the Will of My Father. How I offered Myself in reparation for His deeply offended Glory! Thus you, religious souls who find yourselves in the prison chosen out of love, who more than once pass before the eyes of creatures as useless and possibly harmful, do not be afraid. Let them shout against you and, during those hours of pain and solitude, unite your heart intimately with your God, the only object of your love. Make reparation for His Glory violated by so many sins. **
Jesus to Catalina:
The Passion - loveandmercy.org/Eng-TP-Reg.pdf

**When I was seized in the Garden, My accusers were quick with every lie and I, without the least resistance, allowed them to take Me to wherever they wanted. And when they wanted to encircle My Head with the crown of thorns, I bowed My Head without resistance, because I took everything from the hands of the One who had sent Me into the world.
  1. When the arms of those cruel men were exhausted by the violence of discharging blows against My Body, they placed upon My head a crown woven with branches of thorns, and parading before Me they said: “So you are a King? We salute you!”
  2. Some spat at Me; others insulted Me; still others dealt further blows to My head, each one adding a new pain to My Body, so battered and destroyed.
  3. I am tired; I have nowhere to rest. Lend Me your heart and your arms to cover Myself in your love. I am cold and feverish; embrace Me for an instant before they continue destroying this temple of Love.**
Jesus to Catalina:
The Passion - loveandmercy.org/Eng-TP-Reg.pdf

**5) The fatigue that I feel is so great and the Cross so heavy that halfway along the path, I fall from weakness. See how those inhuman men lift Me up in the most brutal manner. One grabs My arm, another pulls My clothes that are stuck to My wounds, tearing them open again… This one grabs Me by the neck, another by the hair; others discharge dreadful blows to My whole Body, with their fists, and even with their feet. The Cross falls upon Me and with its weight causes new wounds. My face is scraped by the stones in the road and the blood which runs down My face sticks to My eyes that are almost closed because of the blows they have received. The dust and the mud mingle with the blood and I am turned into the most repugnant of objects.
  1. My Father sends Angels to help support Me so that My Body does not lose consciousness when it falls, so that the battle may not be won before its time and all My souls are lost.
  2. I walk over the stones that destroy My feet. I stumble and fall time and time again. I look at both sides of the road, searching for the slightest look of love, of surrender, of union with My pain, but… I do not see anyone.
  3. My children, you who follow in My footsteps, do not let go of your cross no matter how heavy it seems to you. Do it for Me because by carrying your cross, you will help Me carry Mine, and on the difficult path, you will find My Mother and the holy souls who will give you encouragement and comfort.**

Jesus to Catalina:
The Passion - loveandmercy.org/Eng-TP-Reg.pdf

**Contemplate My wounds and see if there is anyone who has suffered as much as I, to show their love…

Contemplate for a moment these bloodstained hands and feet… This naked body, covered with wounds, with urine, and blood. Dirty… This head punctured by sharp thorns, soaked in sweat, full of dust, and covered in Blood…

Contemplate your Jesus, hanging on the Cross, without being able to make the slightest movement… naked, without fame, without honor, without liberty…

Contemplate Me in the image of the Christ that weeps and bleeds. There and in this way the world has Me.**

Jesus to Catalina:
Divine Providence - loveandmercy.org/Eng-DP-Reg.pdf

During my prayers on the 23rd, the Lord, knowing that I was feeling very much alone, spoke to me and said: **2) “My beloved, here I am, responding to your call. However, not even for an instant have I abandoned you… You are seemingly alone but I am with you.
  1. “Think of My anguish in the garden; I felt alone.
  2. “Are you afraid? So was I.
  3. “Do you need to talk to someone? Talk to Me.
  4. “Do you need a hand to caress you? Here are Mine.
  5. “Do you need a shoulder on which to cry? Do so on Mine and I will dry your tears with My kisses… Your tears will blend with Mine. I am not indifferent to your sufferings.
  6. “Do you need someone’s company to pray with you? Here you have My Saints and My Angels… Offer Me your patience in this life of exile and, thus, each time that I come looking for you, you will be free of grief and able to enjoy great interior peace.**

I’m really sorry to hear that, Robyn. I feel quite the same, actually. I think I’m going to abandon the internet soon; it just feels too much like an imitation of life. Anyway, I hope things get better for you. I’ll be praying.:gopray:

Hi RobynP:

How are you doing today? I am keeping you in my prayers. Don’t Give Up!’’’

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next.
Amen.

this too shall pass.being that I am so new to this site, it nice too see that you pulled up an are headed for the heavens instead of the side of a mountain. I have found after bout seventeen years out of my life in counseling, the hardest thing for me, was accepting the works of God even when I was so depressed I felt like jumping off a bridge, but I never stoped praying even at the bridge. so, life is a very precious an beautiful. sometimes I think my very dry sense of humor makes the devil adjatated. Ilove that:):)🙂 Find out what your trigger is, ask God, your faith will fix it, counselers are great too talk too, an after all this time I consinder mine, my good friend because he showed me that utimately the responsibility for actions from injurys still are mine, it funny cause I read my readings most of the time before i check my email, but today yesterdays came to mind right away.James21, Hebrews26. anyway Makes me feel like a hypocrite cause you dont know me , but I can relate too your pain. keep on truckin, it was really nice too see a positive actions to help yourself, now you can pass that on to others.Dont ever doubt your faith,it will shake you every time. Have a really good day.God loves you:

I was feeling very depressed today, everything was going wrong. I wasted the whole day trying to fix something I could not fix, my autistic son was in a bad mood and I had million things to do and no time left to do it. So I got on my knees and repeated the first paragraph of the following prayer over and over because it was the only verse I knew by memory. It worked for me. I hope it works for you.
Code:
    O sacred heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee,
     Whatever may befall me, Lord, though dark the hour may be;
     In all my woes, in all my joys, though nought but grief I see,
    O sacred heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee.

    When those I loved have passed away, and I am sore distressed,
    O sacred heart of Jesus, I fly to thee for rest.
    In all my trials, great or small, my confidence shall be
    Unshaken as I cry, dear Lord, I place my trust in thee.

    This is my one sweet prayer, dear Lord, my faith, my trust, my love,
    But most of all in that last hour, when death points up above,
    O sweet savior, may thy face smile on my soul all free.
    Oh may I cry with rapturous love, I've placed my trust in thee.

Dear Lord,
Lead us from death to life,
from lies to truth
Lead us from despair to hope
from fear to trust
Lead us from hatred to love
from war to peace
Let peace fill our heart,
our world, our universe,
peace, peace, peace.
Amen
