Hello all,
I sort of disappeared from CA and the internet in general, but since a lot of you have reached out privately and been so supportive, I thought I would update you all:
I got a job about a month ago. Without revealing too many identifying details: The job itself is entry-level, but fits right into one of my lifestyle interests. The company is great and the coworkers are polite, well-spoken, and do not seem to have the the slightest hint of animosity toward one another. Also, I get to travel to Europe, a lot, which is something I wanted to be able to do. The office is also an hour away from my parents’ house, which means that I moved out. I do live with my sister now, which cuts the commute time down to 30 minutes. I still don’t “own” a car, but my sister and I are coming to an agreement about me helping her with her own car payments in exchange for use of the car.
Even though the transition from working 12 freelance hours a week to 40 full time hours a week has been wearying, I am very grateful that I have a job and seemed to have gotten so lucky as to have gotten a job that is interesting and fits one of my lifestyle interests. Thank you so much for your prayers. I try not to let God forget how grateful I am, even when I am very tired.
