HL has all McCalls sewing patterns on sale for .99 cents (I think it ends this Sat) (limit 10)
I found it when I stopped by there last night to buy some new scissors. They had every pattern I wanted!!! And all the patterns regular price was between 10.95 and 15.95!!
Just thought I would share

Sweet!

I have to admit though when I saw the title I thought this was going to be about ‘sewers’ (you know, dra(name removed by moderator)ipes etc.-) Thought it might be related to Jesus calling the Pharisees vipers, and St. Paul calling the High Priest a ‘whited sepulchre’.

This is much better though. Can’t wait to get my sewing machine sent and get some patterns!

 I didn’t think about that!!!

I know I stocked up and will probably go back tonight and tomorrow!!! DH will be like

😃 😃 😃

LOL I had to click on this thread because I thought somebody had a back-up problem like we did earlier this year, thanks to tree roots.

Now, I hope that I can get a sewing machine sometime soon.

My wife and I got a very nice old Signature sewing machine last year through freecycle, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to thread the thing! Does anyone know of a website that gives step-by-step visuals for how to thread one?

I tried to change the title, although, I guess waited too long, I can’t edit the title

I too wondered if this was about civic waste disposal systems and their issues! 😃

Perhaps next time, Seamstresses/Seamsters! (I suppose that must be the male equivalent. 😉 )

I’ll have to tell my MIL about the patterns… she’s the seamstress in the family.

There’s nothing **wrong **with the title–it’s just that the word is one a pair of heteronyms. . .words which are spelled the same but have different pronunciations and different meanings.

Sewers stink.

dodges produce
No produce throwing here .

I thought the same thing - we are families, living in homes that have, gasp, sewer problems occasionally.

Don’t worry about the title though, there are a bunch of us sewers on the list so it was an appropriate title and one we can figure out from context!

What store is the HL? Hancock’s? If not I can not participate :(.

Lol, another person that thought you were talking about the sewage sewers rather than the sewing sewers…

Wow that sale is great! Is it a physical store?

Three cheers for that English major FINALLY paying off!

My first thought was Hobby Lobby… But only because that’s the newest craft store in town. 😃
Oh, that makes sense. I will check their on-line ad and see! Yes, indeedy it is Hobby Lobby. Okee, dokee I am off. Oh, you can go to their website and print off their coupons too!

:extrahappy:

I just called my mom to let her know. She wants to make dress-up costumes for all the grandkids. Thanks, Just!

Yes it is Hobby Lobby, I am always afraid that I am going to violate the rules so I avoided putting the name of the store.

Since you guys put it I guess it is not against the rules 😃

This thread is a TRAP to fool men who think they are coming to aid of a damsel who is distressed by leaky pipes and gray water!

Here I come to all ready to help do some mans’ work and what do I see?

Well, we only got one dress pattern and a bunch of crafty patterns and one apron pattern! So, you can come rescue me by helping me ping and cut so I can be a sewer :tiphat:

These are two of the patterns I got. I have a poodle who I have sheered and he can get really cold in the winter so I though I would make him some “sweaters”. And the cats, well, we just like to torture them by “dressing” them up by season and the collar costumes (won’t do the hats) will be easiest to make them keep on.

My mom picked up some Fairies and Princess dress patterns (with Rapunzel, even!!!) to make dress-up costumes for my 2.5 year old daughter and 3 year old niece – Mom had a hard time finding any Knights. 🤷 Sorry, rpp, you can’t even be a Knight. 😃
