Is sex in civil marriage valid in gods eyes without worrying of committing mortal sin in bed??

My girlfriend and I have been thinking about marrying already and starting a life together, we just worried if having sex after civil marriage is invalid in gods eyes, or is it like we never married and god still consider fornication?

If either you or your girlfriend are Catholic, you have a duty to follow the rules of the Catholic Church. You would need to be married in the Church, although, with good reason, can seek permission from the bishop (through the parish pastor) to marry outside the Church. Otherwise, the marriage would be considered invalid in the eyes of the Catholic Church.

If neither you or your girlfriend are Catholic, you are not subject to the laws of the Catholic Church.

As already noted - depends on if valid marriage…

(objectively fornication if not…)

Marriage of course is a very serious order to enter into…so the preparation etc is very important too in addition to entering into a valid marriage (Sacrament for two unmarried baptized).

If you are Catholic - you need to get married in the Church 🙂

And of all the guests to invite – God is the best one and brings the best gifts 🙂

If your Catholic you need to wait and get married in the Church 👍

Also, if you or your girlfriend are Catholic, you want to get married in the Church, but think that you have to have a big ceremony, this is not the case. You can have a small service, with just you, your girlfriend, and witnesses. It doesn’t have to be a big ordeal.

If you or your girlfriend is Catholic, why would you be considering a civil wedding instead of a Church wedding?

We are both catholics, but mean while we want to married in Civil to fix her immigration status since she lives in Mexico and I live in Cal, USA, then later about 3-5 years to married in church. This marriage will not be for interest ( married and divorce, No No). We been together for 6 years.

If we get the church permission approved to married outside the church, will intimity will be valid and not consider fornication? If is still invalid to gods eyes. We are both proceeding to live together unmarried then later five years from now both confessed and married in church.

To answer your question: Yes, if you receive a dispensation from canonical form, your marriage will be valid in the eyes of the Church (assuming you are both free to marry right now). But then you wouldn’t need a Church wedding in 3-5 years because you can’t marry somebody you’re already married to.

Why in the world would you bother waiting 5 years to get married in the Church? If you care enough to ask for a dispensation from canonical form, why not just get married in the Church now? All you need is a priest and two witnesses, who can be any two Catholics willing to sign the paper saying they saw and heard you exchange vows. All Catholic priests have the power of the State to effect civil marriage, so your Church wedding would be automatically recognized by the government as well.

Yes, we are both marrying in mexico

We are both not ready for church marriage yet.
We both havent done our first communion and confirmation, and we want to marry ASAP, to get her to the U.S sooner.
But my question is, if we get approved by the church to married outside the church, is intimity valid in civil marriage?
I dont want to live in god fear and conscience knowing what im doing. You never know when you gonna die, i just dont want to died in mortal sin and go to hell for having sex with the person you most love, wish i see it very unfair going to hell for that.

You can’t get approval from the Church to be married outside the Church, because the Church would never condone sin. What you can get is approval to be dispensed from the Catholic form of the marriage ceremony. It doesn’t sound like that would be necessary, though - if you’re able to be married in the Church, then you should just be married in the Church. You still have to be validly able to contact marriage. If you are, you could ask your pastor whether your situation constitutes a sufficiently serious reason to be married without having received confirmation and first communion.

How old are you? You said that you are a couple for some years now and you have the serious wish to build a home with your girlfriend. So again, why not a valid wedding in the church? If time is really a problem and you need the civil marriage right now, do it, but stay chaste after it, and then start to plan the wedding in church with your priest so you can have the ceremony as soon as possible 🙂

Greetings

if one of you are Catholic, you must be married in The Church or eles it will be invalid

What you can get is approval to be dispensed from the Catholic form of the marriage ceremony.
No – if one was Catholic and the other was a non-Catholic Christian, then it’s possible for the Catholic to receive a dispensation from form. In this case, though, they’re both Catholic, so there’s no dispensation from form (except for a couple of extreme cases, which appear not to be present here).

Therefore, in answer to the OP’s question: no, the Church wouldn’t condone your civil marriage, and yes, it would be considered fornication up until the time that you actually get married within the Church.

What you are saying so far is not rational.
It won’t take you more than a year to get 1st Communion and Confirmation.
Prob much less if you are actually serious about that.

If you are not ready for Church marriage then you aren’t ready for Civil one either.
Why the rush? Is her family paying you to give her the Green Card or something?
Are you already married Civilly, are you already sleeping together?

Civil marriage is not valid for two Catholics except under extraordinary circumstances.
But that is not the point, you sound like you are looking for a loophole you can exploit.
The problem really is, why are you looking for such a loophole instead of pursuing a normal Catholic Wedding?

What is it that you are not telling us?
(Which therefore means you haven’t yet fully admitted it to yourself … but want to)?

You guys are right, we should married in church instead. No, no one is paying me to get her a green card, she doesnt gives a damn about me fixing her immigration papers or not.

The reason we want to married is to stop commiting Fornication, attend mass and receive the Eucharist. She was hoping if marrying in Civil, will it be ok for god to have sex without worrying of commiting mortal sin. Since the church says we must not have sex until marriage.
If is not ok in gods eyes, so, there is no point of marrying civil cause we are still be commiting fornication in gods eyes until we married in church. The whole point of marrying is to stop sinning.
At the moment she wont consider church marriage for the reason most of her family lives in California as illegals and there no way her family can attend a religious marriage in Mexico. So, my last option is to pay her to apply for a tourist visa and married in church in Calif.

Your relationship with God must be your number one priority.
Stop having sexual relations with your girlfriend.

Please care about your soul, and the soul of the woman you love.

Have you talked with a priest yet?
About your preparation for marriage, including natural family planning?
About your preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist (Holy Communion)?

Are you and your girlfriend using contraception? Have the two of you planned to continue using it, whether you plan to marry civilly or in the Church? Have you talked with a priest about why it is a sin to use contraception? Did you know that contraceptives (birth control pills and IUDs) often do not prevent conception, and have the capacity to kill a baby by preventing him or her from implanting on the mother’s uterine wall within a few days, which means abortion?

It is important for your girlfriend to have her family present at the wedding. Can you and she agree to properly prepare for the sacrament of marriage, abstaining from sex, so that you can accommodate her family?

I hope you will discuss your situation with a priest very soon.
