Interesting you bring this up. I am currently reading the book, “High Risk - Children Without a Conscience”. It is about “unattached children” and how they become psychopaths. And you are right - it is nearly impossible to cure. The circumstances that prevent a child from becoming “attached” (normal bonding) basically form their personality and conscience or lack of it.if it only involved sex offences then it can be cured, but the reality is most sex offenders if not all are psychopaths which can’t be cured
It is a very interesting read by respected professionals.
They warn that the early years of a child’s life are VITAL to have those attachments (especially to the mother) formed and if they are disrupted or skewed - the consequences in development are grave.
They warn society about the dangers of daycare and divorce and other disruptions in a young child’s tender years of bonding and attaching.
