Sex scene in movie: related to a thread below about mortal sins - any yall can help?

simple situation: watching a horror film (its a short 5 minute), there is a sex scene at the beginning, only the bare back of the man is shown. i was watching it because i heard danny devito made these short horror films, didnt fully expect to see the sex scene. is this a mortal sin, is it ok for the sake of art? i dont know. i am pretty scrupulous and have had a bad history with pornography and masturbation. please any help on whether it was a mortal sin.

also, i did stop watching the video after the sex scene
 
also, i know this is kinda hasty, but an answer in the next few hours would really really really help, thanks.
 
My guess is that no, no mortal sin was committed. Given the requirement of consent to commit a mortal sin, the fact that you had no idea that the scene was there would obviate any consent on your part. (Unless the sin was four out of the five minutes and you could have stopped watching…)

ohk, so the thing is though that the scene ended before i turned it off…so the sex scene was only 30 secs and i didnt turn it off till after that. its nothing that couldnt have been on television, not very graphic. i think i’m just overreacting…

You are overreacting. You didn’t sin. You had no idea that the “sex scene” was in there although if what you describe is all there was (a bare back) then that really isn’t much of a sex scene. I would relax :).
 
i would not recommend re watching it again, or if you are having doubts about the rest of the films dont watch them if you think there is a possibility that you might fall back into masturbation and porn
