that’s the way God made it, it has a purpose, but just like anything else in life, in can be misused, and clearly is.
i didn’t even finish reading that article, the first sentence is enough to bring you to an obvious decision, and it’s obviously 100% morally wrong,
if someone is mentally disabled, and needs someone to help them make decisions, they should help them make *good *decisions,
even if the mentally disabled person won’t be held accountable for the act when they die, the person who helped them in their actions *will *be, because it is a mortal sin to encourage others to sin.
it doesn’t matter what mental state you are in, sin is sin no matter who’s committing it, and nothing good ever comes from sin, so how could this be helping anyone? if someone needs help, or comfort, or anything else, they should be getting it from God, not temporary pleasures and entertainments or whatever else which quickly comes and goes leaving you the same way as you were before.
