I currently am in a relationship with my girlfriend for 4 months. We see ourselves to the point where we feel that we want to get married because of how close we are for one another. We see ourselves being engaged within the next few months and We have agreed that pre-marital sex is wrong and are both practicing Catholics who attend mass regularly. Is it wrong or sinful if we have shared that we have sexual desire for one another but we don’t act on it?We know it is wrong and want to save ourselves for one another when we get married. Any thoughts? Thanks and God Bless

No. It’s perfectly normal and good.

Obviously you shouldn’t dwell on that aspect of your relationship before marriage, but there’s nothing wrong with it.

There is nothing inherently wrong with desiring sexual union in the context of being married. Going beyond that, entertaining thoughts that will cause arousal and temptation is wrong.
