This may offend some, and I apologize if so, but I must be honest when it comes to my sexual immorality.

I live a double life. I’m a good normal girl in people’s eyes, but honestly, I suffer with sexual temptation. I don’t know what is wrong with me. I don’t want to live this life any longer, and feel so sad, empty, and guilty.

I have viewed many explicit websites, committed acts of impurity with myself, and with others. I do not use birth control, however, after the last partner, I was concerned about becoming pregnant and took Plan B. Now you understand the horrible moral turmoil I’m in. This life I’m living cannot continue this way. I want a normal, happy, and healthy relationship, but I don’t think that I will have one til I work on myself first. I believe very strongly in the teaches of the Catholic Church, but obviously have a hard time adhering to them. I need prayer and advice fellow Christians. I’m worried that the Plan B hasn’t worked, but I won’t know til my next cycle. This is not normal to have this unnecessary fear. God help me!

How can I stop this sexual immorality?!

It seems you have answered your question.
Seek the sacrement of reconcillation first
Pay special attention to performing the penance
Attend sunday Mass, if you can daily Mass as well
Begin a daily prayer regiment
learn to be patient with yurself

very importantly; forgive yourself.

Thank you for your advice. I will receive the sacrament of Reconciliation tomorrow. I really need to talk to my priest. God give me strength to open and honest.

You are under attack by Satan. Your refuge is in God. Commit to daily prayer, frequent confession, and avoiding situations where you might face temptation. It also helps to engage in other acts of self-denial. When I struggled with temptation, it helped to exert self-mastery over the body by giving up something I enjoyed for something unpleasant. This was advice given to me by a very good priest. I enjoy a piping hot shower in the morning. I took a cold shower in the morning.

You have already made a good start by turning away from sin. Congratulations! Now follow up on your resolve by firm action to remove yourself from what you’ve been doing. It might be difficult at first. It will take some time. But it gets better. Think of it as spiritual weight lifting. When you start exercising your body, it is difficult at first and it feels painful. The more you exercise, though, the easier it gets, and the pain goes away. Then you begin to look forward to the exercise, and you can’t imaging not exercising. It’s the same way with spiritual exercises. It will start out difficult and painful, but become easier over time, and then you will look forward to it and take joy in it.

Again, congratulations on your repentance and resolve to stop your sin. Many have done the exact same thing as you, and gone on to develop wonderful relationships with God, and with others. You can do this too. You have an army of angels and people praying for you.

I strongly recommend praying the rosary every day:

ecatholic2000.com/rosary/rosary.shtml

There are enormous promises attached to those who pray the rosary every day. One of them is:

"3. The Rosary will be the most powerful defense against the forces of the evil spirit. Vice will be destroyed; sin will be diminished; and all heresy will be defeated. "

God bless!

Simple, stop being a slave to sin! that is why christ came to earth, to free us from sin and forgive us. When you commit a mortal sin, the will is weakened and you become more inclined to evil, your mind is darkened. when you walk in the light for a long time you grow stronger and can resist even more. rely on gods grace, he will give it to you whenever you are tempted. and now that gods grace is greater than temptation if you do stumble, go to confession. Instead of focusing on what you should NOT do, focus on what you SHOULD do… it can really help. at first chastity seemed to me like a burden, like god was taking “fun” away from me, that is was repressing my sexuality, that it wasnt fair, but the truth is chastity is the complete opposite, its freedom. Its feedom in the way i think, the way I act, the way I talk to people, the way I communicate and build relationships, and freedom in looking for substancei n a person rather than sex.

truly, i suffered from the same problem but the best way for me to get out of it was to focus on chastity and not looking at a person as a mere object for enjoyment. Im not saying you cannot appreciate a person’s beauty, we are naturally attracted to members of the opposite sex and can appreacite , but when we lust when we give in our passions and deviated perversions that is when it becomes sin and wrong. We are human beings and not animals. Animals have one instinct and that is to reproduce and mate. We are human beings that have more control, we can appreciate someones beauty and not regard them as just an object. Were called to self mastery which is a process of course, but one that does not necessarily take that long. you can overcome this relatively quickly with gods grace and of course a sound will.

Im going to recommend to you a book that will change your life in a tremendous way in this area… it was written by pope john paul the second, its on sexual ethics and true love, its written by such a belooved humble man and when you read it you can read and invite the light into your life… it is called “love and responsibility” by pope john paul the second , karol wojtyla

sex is a gift between married people, this is so because of the emotions involved when the act is done, the intimacy, and obviously the fact that babies are born. dont set yourself up to be a slave , find freedom and great joy in that…

When you do so you are just using that person for your own selfish need or vice versa, which even when done , you will never be satisfied. Once you have gained maximum pleasure from the person or vice versa you stop communication etc. its simply mutual prostituion, its selfish and its abusing a sacred virtue. Thats contrary to Love , thats contrary to the message of god and the gospel. Christ went to say that adultery is even looking at a person with lust. And if your eye causes you to stumble than tear it out!

if you fall, dont beat yourself up, but do go to confession! the priests advice can be indespensible to you. Pray to mary she loves you and will intercede… you already are walking in victory because you decided to post, so you will be in my prayres tonight

i hope i helped

Know that your are far, far from being the only one who struggles with this.

Being single, it is a constant battle for me as well. One which I occasionally lose. But, I pick myself back up, go to confession and forge ahead. I’m actually getting to the point of being free of it entirely, you can be too.

me too, i am happy in this respect!!! god bless

Try to remove sources of potential sin now, while you are in a strong state of mind. If possible, cancel your internet at home (you mention viewing pornographic websites). If you can’t do that, consider what your triggers are and try to avoid those circumstances.

Also, try to keep busy in general. If you don’t go to the gym, start going regularly (or another exercise habit). you don’t mention your age or other state in life, but you could try taking a class or starting to volunteer somewhere.

As others have said, the most important thing is to get to confession straight away when you need to, and to keep persevering. you might want to call a moratorium on dating until you know you can date chastely. on top of sin, you are treading dangerous ground in terms of disease and pregnancy.

“Oh my God!” I shouted. I was panting and squirming. I was about to cum in
Gerard’s mouth. “I’m gonna cum!” He continued to suck the head and jack the
base. “Oh my…I’m cumming!” The cum blasted from my dick and into
Gerard’s mouth. He was swallowing all my load as spurt after spurt hit the
back of his throat. I was screaming and squirming. It was an overwhelming
feeling of pleasure which over took my whole body and I shook violently as
my orgasm continued.

After I had emptied my balls I fell back on the floor and tried to catch my
breath. That was the most intense orgasm I had ever had. Gerard laid on top
of me. I could feel his soft dick on my softening dick. He kissed me and
Mick joined in.

Our father who are’t in heaven,
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done
In earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and lead us not
into temptation but deliver us from evil.
I dedicate this pray to you and your efforts.
God bless.

Give yourself to Jesus through Mary… have you ever heard of the 33 day Marian Consecration to Jesus through Mary by St. Louis de Montfort? I would really recommend it!

Your brother in Christ,
Zac

I am interested in this myself. What are the 33 days or Marian consecration. I think would help us all as well as the OP.

Meditation will purify your mind. A habit of morning prayer and evening prayer along with examination of conscience. Read the second section of the book: Introduction to the Devout Life by Saint Francis de Sales will teach you how to meditate.

You should get in the habit of praying the rosary every day, Our Lady promises to save us through the brown scapular(look into the brown scapular and its promises.

Get some blocking software on your computer, you need an accountability partner to keep the password so you can’t take it off in moments of weakness. Put an image of Mary on your desktop to remind you not to go to porn sites. Those images will remain in your mind for a long time, unfortunately. But the sooner you stop masturbating, the better. Do anything you need to in order NOT to be tempted in that way. Pray the rosary when you feel tempted.

You already know you need to confess all of this. When you do, you are saying that you fully repent and intend to change your life. You are saying this to Jesus himself, in the form of the priest. Do not break that promise to Jesus!

Take it one day at a time. Put yourself in healthy situations, where you won’t be tempted to sexually sin. If you have a boyfriend, and you’ve been having sex, tell him you can’t do that any more. If you go to bars in order to pick up guys to have sex with, stop doing that. Change your behaviors 180 degrees.

The main thing is to get rid of the porn and stop masturbating. It will be easier for you once those 2 things are taken care of.

You have my prayers.

I went through the same type of temptation for quite some time, and still have moments where I’m tempted. There are several things to keep in mind: 1) Satan IS real and he IS after all of our souls, accept this and the fact that we WILL be tempted to turn away from God through sin. 2) God will ALWAYS give us the graces we need to overcome temptation and turn away from sin, but we have to be willing to recognize and receive these graces. 3) You have a whole arsenal of support to turn away from temptation and sin.

The other replies were filled with great advice! I would like to re-iterate and add to that advice. Attend Mass regularly, as stated, daily is better than weekly; practice the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist regularly, receive Communion daily if possible.

The importance of praying the Rosary and wearing a scapular cannot be stressed enough!

Submit your struggle to your local prayer chain, I would recommend being as open and brutally honest as possible. You may find this a tad embarrassing but embarrassment can help with self-accountability, and let’s face the big picture here; turning away from sin and the salvation of your soul are more important that a little personal embarrassment.

As Catholics, we believe in the Communion of Saints, ask the faithfully departed for their prayers of intercession on your behalf. This is like a prayer chain on steroids, the saints are already in the presence of God and no longer subject to the error and weakness that we are.

What I found to be extremely effective was to say the Lord’s Prayer and the Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel when I first wake up and before I go to bed. Additionally, I would recite the Chaplet of Saint Michael on my way to work every morning and the Rosary on my way home from work in the evening. I soon noticed that I seemed to be tempted less often, and when I was tempted I immediately recognized it for what it was and found it easier to deny the temptations.

It believe it would benefit all of us to entreat our parishes and dioceses to bring back the recitation of the prayer to Saint Michael at the end of every Mass.

You may still stumble and fall, but as previously stated, don’t beat yourself up or feel that you are unworthy of God’s grace and forgiveness (one of Satan’s great tactics is to try to get us to feel that way). Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and continue to try and to turn away from sin. This life is like a testing ground for us and our faith, to secure our passage into the next life. We are sinners and will make mistakes, we can only focus on drawing closer to God moment by moment and day by day.

I hope this helps you and I will keep you in my prayers.

Peace be with you,
Matt

Ephesians 6:11 - Put you on the armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil.

the best way to avoid serious sin is to go to confession each and every time you do it–to the same priest each time. the encouragement you get from the priest will help you to stop. plus, you will get tired of confessing the same sin to him over and over.

you said one thing that i’d like to respond to. you are both having out-of-wedlock sex AND you are using contraceptives.

you seem to be suggesting that using contraceptives makes it worse.

i’m certainly not an expert on this topic, and maybe somebody else here can enlighten us . . .

but i have a very hard time believing that, IF we are going to have out-of-wedlock sex, it would be better if that sex were UNPROTECTED.

surely, IF you are going to sin by having out-of-wedlock sex, it would be better to use contraceptives and at least avoid getting pregnant.

obviously, the best course would be to avoid having out-of-wedlock sex. going to confession will help you to stop.

The problem comes with certain types of birth control being abortificants; that is, the way the birth control works is that it actually aborts the zygote/embryo, through various means.

I understand you might not have realized this, and I offer this solely for informational sake.

I think you need to try to go to confession and be honest. I have done this a fre days ago and have confessed mortal sins of a sexual matter. The priest wad so understanding and lovely and I feel at peace with myself and God and I do not want to go back to my old ways. It is not easy to do because of the fact you feel ashamed but the feeling of love and relief is great. 🙂

I’ve been feeling the same, not necessarily your exact situation, but I do have sexual temptatin. I have only gone far as touching myself, and it’s gone far enough. I must stop, and I will stop. I’ve been praying so much to our Virgin Mary, asking her to help me and keep me strong. I have only done impure actions with myself, nothing esle, nor have I seen sites such as the ones you have mentioned. I have only read impure stories, and simliar things written in wrods. But it is jsut as bad as visual sin. For it is in your mind still.
I can’t forgive myself for what I do, and I feel so empty and lost, and guilty and repentfull.

Please help me aslo and God keep me strong.I Love you.

thank you, everyone x
