OAJ be careful of spiritual pride.
That is, desiring strength over a trusting struggle with chastity under Gods grace…we must all live with a wound, a weakness…and with doubt and confusion at times.
The daily manly fight (from the CCC) with concupiscence/weakness under Gods grace in trust may take a lifetime and has salvific purpose or God would not have left us with concupscence which is not removed by baptism.
Yes belonging and feeling part of a spiritual community makes that struggle bearable but the wound of concupiscence is always with us and it is a weakness God wants us to carry and try to master. Yes it gets easier naturally after 50…but its still there!
Remember Lucifer was the strongest and most perfect creature…God is not interested in strength without charity and humility. Our weaknesses are salvific, they teach us we need others, we need God. We cannot do it alone.
God bless.
