Depending how old the children are, I would suggest for yourself learn and read about “The Theology of The Body” which is becoming a popular teaching by JP2.
Then, see if you can relate it out the kids in a very simple manner. If the kids are very young, just explain to them that God created male and female as a sign of His love for us.
If the children aer a bit older, then tell them about the way Christ left his home, had his ministry and then gave his life to his bride–the Church, is the same way that man is to leave their house and join with a woman to be one flesh.
It has been an excellent resource which our parish has just started to study.
