 God forbid we should question God! Why does one think that if someone has a ? or different point of view, they are anti- God, Anti-religion, or anti-catholic. maybe we should all start worrying about how are own conscience thinks- instead of passing judgement. I’m sure if you are all “Holier than thou”, you have heard the saying about casting the first stone. Besides, do we really know how Shakira feels???

Allow me to preface this message by saying that I am a huge Shakira fan (more so of her Spanish music than English) and I just recently purchased her new album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2. The first song on the CD starts out sounding like a hymn. I’ve posted the lyrics below (deleting repetition.)

She is questioning God in this song and I just wanted to warn the parents out there who may not appreciate their children being subjected to this kind of music.

Sorry, I am not “all Holier than thou” whatsoever. In the song, she says that God has made mistakes and this goes against what many Christians believe that God can not make mistakes. I posted this simply for parents who probably find it next to impossible to keep up with all the artists their children are listening to these days. I’m sure most parents would rather their children question God while they are in Church or with them so that their questions can be answered.

The part I don’t like is:

God is all knowing, He doesn’t make mistakes.
yes he does. you all are ignorant mo.fos. First of all… GOD is a hypocrite to hisown possibly non-existant self.

If he believes it’s a sin to kill in vain, then why does he kill thousands of innocent souls in terrorist attacks, car accidents, bombs, airplane crashings, etc.

Wouldn’t he want us to be happy???

God is the reason behind our war. God itself is like a disease. The more we believe in him… the more we fight over him. The fights however end up in deaths. Those deaths are statistics.

Without God the world would be a different place.

Don’t blame Shakira for being outspoken. She’s a determined artist and should continue her wise-ways and questioning. At least we believe in her since she brings the world together with her music. God? Well he just kills another poor innocent individual every minute. Sad truth, huh.

Hmmm . . . Are you seriously questioning GOD? In what world would humans even know better then Him?
the thought of a God just relaxes us.

It’s just like the rich. Money relaxes them. They know they can always fall back on it to indulge their wantings.

With God, if one of us feels sad, unpleased, hoping, etc, we pray and hope he fulfills what it is we hope for.
