The term “masterbation” is very specific and in order for it to be that, it has to have sexual gratification as at least one of it’s reasons. You are right!!! the problem is that we have different opinion in that matter and it is a sin that I couldn’t eradicate yet. I’m working on it.The more important “detail” is whether you have stopped the practice or not.
The language above is present tense which makes it sound like this is an ongoing practice.
If that is the case…If you are not contrite and “firmly resolved to sin no more” then there can be no absolution regardless of how general or specific you are.
