As a random guess, you’re probably trying too hard to find attractive women.

There’s age-old irony to finding a partner. Men go out of their way to find the most attractive woman possible. The tragic truth is that attractive women are a high risk of not making very good wives. Women go out of their way to find someone rich and tall, and they’re a high risk of not making very good husbands. People prioritize the wrong things and then 10 years down the road they’re miserable and asking God why their marriage is in the dumps. Try finding somebody simple and loyal and fun and go with it. Then marry her and have a great life. Men are especially visually oriented, but once you get to know somebody, your perceptions can change a lot. Walk by faith, not by sight

You could well have a point,it may well be good old fashion superficiality that’s doing me in. I’ll try to roll back my vision of what I’m entitled to from “preternaturally glorious” to “top 10% of humanity”, lol.

I think you’re going to do really well. You have a good attitude and sense of humor. Dating can be a very depressing and demoralizing process and a lot of people seem to get so embittered by the process that they start hating the other sex and sabotaging themselves.

I was just looking at your Catholic Answers profile and I couldn’t find a picture of you. I don’t know exactly how the profiles work, but I know it is know it is possible to post a picture of yourself. That would be worth doing. It has been known for couples to meet on Catholic Answers, so I would encourage you to get a picture up.
