I’ve been a catholic now for a little more than 10 years after converting from Protestantism. I’ve now been Catholic longer than I was protestant, but I am having enormous difficulty recognizing Jesus in Eucharist. My head believes, I fully accept the teaching, but my heart hasn’t “caught up”. In prayer, I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to start attending adoration at my church. I have started attending and have going for about 3 months now, but I honestly feel awkward because I am not sure what to do there. I’ve been bringing praise and worship music (helps me pray at home) and a bible to read from the gospels and meditate on the stories…But it feels awkward still.
I’d love to hear from you! Two questions:
I’d love to hear from you! Two questions:
- How do you use the time at adoration? What do you think or pray about?
- How has adoration increased your own faith? What insights have you gained, or how has your heart been changed? (basically asking for testimony, haha)
