Sorry I have nothing to offer myself, I’m looking to those who have a love of sacred music to share some for all of us.

Thanks in advance.

Holy God We Praise Thy Name was the closing hymn of the Mass in the Fifties at our Church.
Also How Great Thou Art brings me to tears. Favourite childhood hymn is Heart of Jesus (Meek and Mild).
I Will Sweep Away Your Transgressions. Many more …

I can’t remember the title but it goes like this…

¸¸.•¨•♫¸¸.•¨•♫¸¸.•¨•♫¸¸.•¨•♫

I can’t read miniscule notes. Also love O Sanctissima, Here I am Lord, Only a Shadow, and Ave Maria by
101 Strings(yes that version).

Blessed Be the Lord (Dan Schutte and Jesuits), Queen of the May, Prayer of St Francis (very popular at our Church) and I’ve always loved Elvis’ 45 record from his early days: Take My Hand Precious Lord, It is No Secret. I know they’re Protestant, and not sung in our Church, but beautiful nevertheless.

Sorry! I think you meant classical sacred music, and here I’m rambling about hymns.

There is a very ancient Armenian instrument, which is 3,000 years old, called DUDUK.

I don’t care, but links would be nice. 😃

(I’ll go look them up if I have to)

Used in the Byzantine rite, Catholic and Orthodox, during Pascha:

One of my favorite hymns is God of Mercy and Compassion (
). Some of the more classical types of hymns I like are a couple by Henry du Mont: O Panis Angelorum (
) and the Messe Royale (
).
