It’s all nostalgia for me. We actually played all of the songs I posted here on our guitars at Mass when I was in Catholic school back in the '70s. I still know the words, and I could probably play them now as poorly as I did then 😄.

Looking back, I feel sorry now for our old pastor. He had been an Army chaplain in WWII, and lived through the Vatican II changes, only to hear the kids of his congregation sing this version of the Lord’s Prayer at Mass, which likely hastened his demise in 1977.

I love the scenes where she’s working with the girls out on the lawn on some dance thing – probably preparing for a piece of liturgical dance, don’t ya think?

😂 😂 😂

This is more of a contemporary Christian pop song than a hymn. It’s from Cindy Morgan’s 1998 Holy Week concept album, “The Loving Kind”, which was inspired by her visit to the Holy Land. This song, being the album’s Easter anthem, is toward the end. I’ve posted it on my Facebook page on Easter a couple of times. The whole album is amazing, though.

How neat! I’d never heard that before! Thanks!

The video you posted was blocked for me in the US, so I found this one instead:

Seminarians of Blessed John XXIII National Seminary, Weston, MA, “Holy Is Your Name”
Excellent singing from this group of priests for this beautiful song. Totally enjoyed it. Thanks.

I Will Wing Forever - love singing this with our choir but wish we could sing it like this:

Just saw the movie by the same name of this true story of the composer. Remarkable…a must see!
“I Can Only Imagine”

I like how it alternates between the themes of judgment and mercy. You can even hear it in the melody. The audio isn’t that good in the video though.
