Wow! @OsculeturMeOsculo

I LOVE the Gloria at my church and I’m always SO glad when we sing it instead of reciting it. Sorry, but reciting it can be boring.

I have to admit, I may or may not have been guilty of lifting up my hands in worship during the Gloria. No other Catholics were hurt during the alleged incident. 😆

I love the music, but not necessarily as a setting for this text. Doesn’t feel very Stations of the Cross to me. 😊

But it’s a beautiful work all the same.

The beauty of this Ave Maria by Michal Lorenc gives me the shivers.

And another one to induce goose bumps.

Love it!

You made me think of this one. A Christmas song, but oh well…we love it.

Mary, Did You Know?

Did you say Christmas music??! 😀 I used to sing the solo for this at church.
Once in Royal David’s City is truly magnificent. My dream is to attend King’s College Cambridge when it is sung for their Nine Lessons and Carols. I know you can see the service on BBC and can hear it on the radio all over the world, but I would love to be there in person.

There are about a million settings of “Salve Regina” – but this one has stuck with me because I was in this opera in college.
And I love the Carmelites.
And I feel so blessed to have told this story on stage.
The facts are bit messed up in this scene. The nuns were martyred from youngest to oldest, not the way they are in the opera. Their feast day is July 17.

The song begins at 2:45.

A few Marian hymns:

Salve Mater Misericordiae

Sub Tuum Praesidium

O Sanctissima

Ave Regina Caelorum

Alma Redemptoris Mater

Oh, I LOVE THAT! What a way to put a smile on your face! I’m going to watch the movie again now that I’m Catholic!
