SO Islam’s system is not inspired! Great admission.
Was Joshua inspired? He collected Jizya from even slaves. Islam prohibited that. Can you see the inspirates in a perverted law?
Literally Kings seldom taxed their own sons.
We are talking about others.
That’s only partly true, though irrelevant to why Moslems discriminate.
Christians don’t do this. Your quotes from the OT - for what purpose - we eat pork, despite it being against Mossaic law.
Then you are preaching the law of Jesus (pbuh).

Matthew 5:19 “Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

You will be the least in the Kingdom of God then. 😦

Joshua was, but that inspiration lead to laws that existed for only a short time. For e.g. if ‘the Law’ (as known in the Ten Commandments) was for all time, it’d have been given to Adam - not to Moses.

What we have is people attempting to interpret God’s will without the light of Jesus who is God, and was an example.

Whatever taxes were imposed then is seen in this light. Then we have Jesus. We don’t eat pork, we keep Sunday as our Holy Day, we love one another. Because of the latter we don’t impose taxes differently based on people’s religion.

You do. You want both arguments at once; to say that you don’t ‘impose’ and that you do (only that you do because it’s inspired act to do so). So you can’t even stick to one argument.

We don’t do this. You do. End of story… you impose restrictions/penalties/prohibitions on people based on faith - based on their faith being different to yours.

If you want to believe that we’re preaching a different law to what Jesus said, this still would not take away from the fact that you impose upon non-Moslems.

Where did you get that 7% now?
I didn’t say it was 7%. I’d said it was 10%. You said it wasn’t. But you were losing the point that the percent was irrelevant.

I said ‘even if…’

It’s conditional.

Even if it were 7%, or 15% or whatever it does not matter. The point is you’re imposing this upon people simply because of their religion being different to yours.

And you still try to pretend to the fact it’s not an imposition.

It is.

Regardless of the figure, it’s being imposed. You’re compelling them to pay, and if they don’t, they’re deemed to be in revolt against Islam and you can *jihad *against them

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He Is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” (Romans 13:1-7)

Do you want to preach the law?
You are assuming islam was instituted by God.

Because they were abrogating the law of Paul. See, you got my point.👍
“Law of Paul”? Is this another one of those crazy things that muslims make up so their false religion makes some kind of sense?

It’s strange! It’s Muhammed’s way of trying to seek legitimacy by tapping into an existing faith.

Of course, the fact that God sent messengers to the Jews and then changed his mind and tried the Arabs doesn’t concern them

(there’s no ‘covenant’ to the Arabs)

Law of the writer of Romans. Or law of the inspiration source of the writer of the Romans. Happy?🙂

You said, while it is 2.5% for Muslims, 10% for non-muslims. Since you don’t know, how much it was, do you agree if I say it was even les than 1%? Jizya wasn’t in percentage, it was a fixed amount which might come as low as not even 1% if compare to Muslims paying 2.5% of all thire wealth.

I have quoted the same law from your own Bible. Since you disagree, you will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. 😊

Are you a Christian? If you are, then you are supposed to follow the laws in the as per Mt 5:19. You are supposed to follow Romans 13:1-7. If you don’t and still claim to be a Christian, I am sorry my dear, you are acting like a hypocrite. I suggest, be a true christian atleast.

Now you’re just begging me to pray for you, aren’t you.
Did I? I said what I believe. We both have our own right to do so. What I expect is a fair discussion why similarities, why differences and are we in the right path.

There’s two arguments here.
One is that it was 10%. That’s a fact. That’s the first part you’re missing the point on.

The other is that EVEN IF IT WASN’T its still imposed upon non-believers. That’s the other argument, it’s unfair, per se.

Okay, I might pay 10% in tithes to my church. But even if I did, if I turned around and said “Okay, you as a Moslem now have to pay a special tax - simply by virtue of being non-Christian. But don’t worry, it’s only 1%” would you accept this - even if its LESS than what I pay? Of course you woudln’t because it’s unfair, of itself… That’s the second part of this argument you’re missing.

That’s not even to take into the account that whilst I demand you pay this tax I add that if you don’t I’ll *crusade *against you!
I have quoted the same law from your own Bible. Since you disagree, you will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven.
That’s simply avoiding any argument I’ve put to you about laws for a particular time.

That makes the third component of your counter-argument that simply misses the point.

Can you miss any more of the argument?

We’re on different paths.

Even in a non-religious way, e.g. logic, viz. you accept that an imposition is fair and divers other examples

Are you a Christian? If you are, then you are supposed to follow the laws in the as per Mt 5:19.
And then there were Moslems objecting to me telling them how to interpret scripture.

Have a look at this
You are supposed to follow Romans 13:1-7. If you don’t and still claim to be a Christian, I am sorry my dear, you are acting like a hypocrite. I suggest, be a true christian atleast.
It must *be * Ramadam - time for the insults!
