Your attempt to derail the thread is obvious

The thread is about Sharia law and its imposition on non-Muslims.
Not only did they impose a tax, but, instituted a whole range of oppressive laws.

A non-Moslem could not convict a Moslem in a court of law - his testimony being deemed not worthy.

Oddly enough, in order to ‘exist’ in such a society there developed professional Moslem witnesses. Say you were a Christian fruitier and a Moslem walked by and helped himself to a bag of oranges. You’d take him to court - but pay a Moslem to testify against him in court. Where there’s a will…

Anyway, such is the sense of ‘justice’ in Islam. It lent itself to corruption because it was not based on justice

It’s not just the dhimmi who is trampled by Sharia Law. Muslim women are amongst those most violently oppressed. They can be killed for being raped, have no marriage rights and are treated as walking sexual organs.

It would be great to get an intelligent and reasonable response from a Muslim on these issues.

If someone does not respond to these “accusations” people reading this thread are led to believe they essentially true. If they are not true, please Muslims, stand up. Does Sharia law promote these ideas??

No one here is out to demonize. We just want the truth on Sharia law.

Peace,
JB

Hi

Welcome for a discussion here.

The First and foremost and the most secure and protected source of guidance for Muslims is Quran.

The Second is acts of Muhammad done in implementation of what has been commanded in Quran.

The **Third **is Hadith, the sayings of Prophet; since it were collected 250/300 years later, naturally it would be valid if they don’t go against what has been mentioned in the First and the Second sources.

The Quran abhores blind faith, so it explains everything with sensible reasons under a system.
Note this very carefully. The Quran abhorrs blind faith. Yet it takes blind faith to believe in the Quran. No one but Mohammed experienced the alleged visions of the angel whom he claims to have seen.

The Quran abhorrs blind faith, but it takes blind faith to believe in the Quran.
Those who have not yet submitted to Islam convinced heart and soul, would do so when they are convinced heart and soul.
It is easier to convince if you have reasonable evidence. You have none.

Sincerely,

De Maria

Law of the writer of Romans. Or law of the inspiration source of the writer of the Romans. Happy?🙂
No. There is no such thing.

In addition, your website fails the test of real life. Just because your website says that Muslims can’t attack and subjogate based on the Quran doesn’t explain why they actually do. All we have to do is look at real life and see that Muslim countries based on Sharia law consistently persecute nonMuslims. And they do it based on their interpretation of the Quran.

Here’s the rub. Either you don’t understand the Quran, or they don’t, or you are lying.

Now we get reports of our Christian brethren being violently and unustly treated in all Muslim countries. We see the Sudanese enslaving, raping and killing Christians simply because they are Christian. We see that the Saudis, supposedly our allies, were the most represented in the Sept 11 atrocity and they prohibit any Christian symbols in their country.

So, why is it they don’t understand the Quran the way that you do? Is it perhaps that you have been influenced by the Christian ethic and you wish your Quran represented the true justice which is presented there? Because certainly your Islamic brethren do not hold to your interpretation of the Quran.

Sincerely,

De Maria

The fellow who started this thread is also going to PNG. We are currently training in Washington DC for the two-year adventure. We are with the Capuchin Franciscans as lay missioners. Please pray for us. 😃

That’s a good point. But also in Islam, you’re permitted to lie. But I think the real truth of it is that in Islam you’re taught to believe in mutually opposing arguments.

Thus: Islam is just. And: Persecute non-believers. These two statements would seem to a logical mind to be beyond each other, but not to a Moslem who accepts that anything they’re taught to do for Islam must by that *virtue *alone be just - it’s why a Moslem can walk smiling into a restaurant in Israel and kill everyone there with a bomb.
