My son is 12 and is currently in RCIA. Ben will be baptized at the Easter Vigil this year 
He is so excited to join the church and be allowed to take his first communion!
He came home from school one day very excited because he had the opportunity to defend his faith…he was on the school bus when a high school girl started talking to him about her church. Ben said he was joining the Catholic church soon. Another high schooler asked him, “why do you guys drink wine at your church? That’s so wierd!” Ben said, its not wine its the blood of Christ! He went on to explain the last supper to these girls he told them that we receive the body and blood of Christ at every Mass. I am in awe of the work God is doing in my youngest child!
He asks so many questions and is just so excited about his upcoming baptism fills my heart with such joy!
Recently we went to the cathedral for the Rite of Election ceremony. Bishop was saying how we are all voices for God to uplift and guide. At the end Ben and his Godmother went up to have a picture taken with bishop. He said to Ben, this is a great picture for when you join seminary. …Ben is now thinking he would like to be a priest when he grows up
