Sharing faith with wedding gift?

Hi all,

I have a good friend who is getting married in a chapel. As far as I can tell, it will be a secular service. She is a non-practicing Catholic, as was I a few years ago when we met.

I was thinking about giving her a prayer card with the wedding gift. Maybe a St. Francis of Assisi card - the prayer for peace.

Do you think I can or should do this? I have no idea how she’ll react - probably not at all. But I want to open the door to dialogue.

Non-practicing catholics tend to return to the church when they have children. Put in a card that shows the MARY holding the Child JESUS.
 
Oh, that’s a really good idea! Thanks! This is especially meaningful as I recently prayed an act of consecration to Jesus through Mary in a prayer group. It was awesome. 👍

And no matter where people “stand” on the faith, I do hope and pray that everyone likes babies 🙂
