After all, Bowie played Pontius Pilate and Alice Cooper played King Herod and both of them did a good job.

Sebastian Bach of Skid Row fame played Jesus in Jesus Christ Super Star.

Paul Stanley of KISS headlined Phantom of the Opera.

Gene Simmons of KISS, a acted in a lot of bad movies, lol. I think the biggest one he was in was Runaway with Tom Selleck, he played a bad guy as usual.

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Never really had any interest in seeing this series that the OP was talking about though.
