She became a Catholic because of the Bible (her personal account)

Not surprising at all; it was my study of Sacred Scripture as a Protestant that started me on my road to conversion.

What was the main 1 or 2 verses that sticks out to you for yoru conversion? I’m curious. I live in the heart of the bible belt and am surrounded by Protestants.

It was Heb. 10:5:
Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, "Sacrifices and offering thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me . . . (RSV-CE)

I had read that verse dozens of times, but this time I was involved in deep study, including comparing this verse, which is a quotation from Ps. 40:6, which reads:
Sacrifice and offering thou dost not desire, but thou hast given me an open ear . . .(RSV-CE

Now here were two versions of what was supposed to be the same verse, but they were completely different. The Hebrew OT said one thing, while the Greek NT said something different. Which one was correct? More importantly, who had the authority to specify which was correct, or perhaps that it didn’t matter which one was correct? Certainly no one within Protestantism. I knew that that the Catholic Church claimed for itself the authority to interpret Scripture – maybe there was something here worth investigating.

This was in November of 2003. In June 2004 I had studied enough to become convinced, and I declared my intentions to Father Kevin, then pastor of Sacred Heart Church in town. I entered RCIA in September and was confirmed at the Easter Vigil Mass the following March, just before Blessed John Paul II died.
 
I was impressed with her pursuit of truth for that is what it takes. “Seek and you will find”.

Although the Trinity cannot be proven from the Bible, it certainly can be demonstrated from it.
There are several passages that point it out, the strong one is Jesus’ baptism.

She has quite a list of verses toward the end of her story which are difficult passages for some protestants to explain. This is quite a good list.

Just a thought.
