Shingles hurts, please pray with me

I was diagnosed with shingles yesterday. The back pain is keeping me from sleeping. If you could join your prayer with mine, I would appreciate it and your prayers. My personal shingles prayer is:

I am thankful:
That it was caught early,
That I can unite my pain with Christ’s,
That it isn’t remotely near my face/eyes,
Saint Anthony the Abbot, patron saint of shingles sufferers, pray for us!
Deep within your heart, O Jesus, I unite my pain with yours.
For all babies who are scheduled for an abortion today, Lord, please be with them and their mothers and please save them and give them life.

Amen.👍

I join with you in offering your suffering to God. I also pray for a speedy recovery for you and that God will give you the grace you need during this time. Amen
 
Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Praying for you. I hear shingles is very painful. Praying for your recovery.

He faithfully served you in the solitude of the desert by fasting, prayer, humility and good works. In the Sign of The Cross, he triumphed over the Devil. Through his intercession, may we learn to love you better; with all our hearts, all our souls, all our minds, all our strength and to love our neighbours as we love ourselves. St. Anthony the Abbot, great and powerful saint, grant us also this special request: we ask that you pray and intercede for MaryFrancesRome during her suffering from shingles. Praying for you. There is a vaccine now, not sure if it will help at this point but you can ask your doctor. People who are at risk would be wise to get the shingles vaccination.

This vaccination was developed using embryonic stem cells from aborted babies (I am almost 100% sure). Thus it would not be moral to use such vaccines.

I have heard that can be a terribly painful thing. May God grant you relief from the pain and in the meantime may you join your suffering with that of Christ.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal MaryFrancesRome. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into MaryFrancesRome’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
 
A dear family friend had shingles on back, legs, stomach. Two things helped ease the pain until it ran its course and went away. She is a small frame person and we picked up a 4 or 5X size house dress, no elastic or binding on it. It was large enough that it only touched her on the shoulders (since other clothing would touch the sensitive areas and cause pain). A friend brought over gallon of aloe vera and they very carefully covered all the spots with it. She was thrilled that she could get a night’s rest. She did continually cover the spots with the aloe vera and lived in that house dress for over a week or two.

This is by no means a cure (she had meds from her doctor that she was taking), but the aloe vera eased the sharp pains of the rash spots and the house dress worked since it did not touch/aggravate any of the rash spots. Once it cleared up, she said she ended up going through several gallons of aloe vera and she washed and kept that house dress in case it ever comes back.

Thank you everybody for your prayers. I was better able to endure the pain today as the disease porgresses to the next stage. I really appreciate yuor intercessions on my behalf. Thank you dsfgsadfgsdfg for the ideas aboutthe house dress and ale vera. Those are things I will try, too. Thank you The Survivor for the information about the shingles vaccine having been produced from aborted embryonic stem cells. I had never thought about that. Lord, I pray for MaryFrancesRome, you, for our sakes endured
not only PHYSICAL pain, but the shame of bearing our sins,
all for the love of the Church. May MaryFrances be able to endure
the physical discomfort knowing that our bodies are the members
of Christ(1 Cor. 6:15) and if ONE suffers, we ALL suffer!!!
