Okay, so our parochial vicar apparently got into some trouble. Our pastor was very clear that it was not sexual. All the same, I ask that you pray for him, pray for those of us who are trying to process this, and pray for our pastor as well. God bless.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayers for reconciliation…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, AMEN

for the vicar and pastor

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us. Lord, hear my prayer for this persons intentions and have mercy on the whole world. (x10)

I did pray a decade of my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet for your intention.

Prayers for this priest, I hope everything is sorted out and he gets whatever help he needs.
Dear Lord, please accept my amen to @Tis_Bearself’s prayer.

I pray also for the parishioners, priests, and all other parish leaders to seek your guidance in this difficult time.

Hey y’all, I found out a little bit more on what is going on. I can’t give y’all a whole lot more (because it’s still ongoing), but he has been suspended from active ministry. I was telling my sister, that, just because he did something wrong, doesn’t mean the sacraments he dispensed are invalid and explained to her about the Donatists. (She had gone to confession to him a few times). Again, I know a little bit more, but I am kind of limited on what I can say. Thank you for your prayers, and pray especially for him.

You are right, the sacraments are still valid, even if the person is now held ‘invalid’ as it were… praying for all involved.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, AMEN

I can’t give all the details. But I just wanted to fill y’all in. He was apparently suspended from active ministry from 2014-2018, as he was involved with a woman in his former Diocese. Which I don’t recall ever being told (I am not sure our pastor even knew about it). He underwent counseling during that time (he was ordained in 2013) and promised that he would not break his vow of celibacy. My understanding is that he traded inappropriate (News’s words, not mine) photos over a gay mobile app to a 17 year old boy (however, the app says that you must be 18 to use it), so, whilst he is suspended from active ministry, there are no charges filed against him because he did not know the other party was a minor. He seems to have his issues, and hopefully he gets the help he needs. Please keep praying for him, y’all, God bless.
