Shooting in New Zealand

I didn’t claim to have any facts. That’s why I asked the question. But it does seem a little odd that racism and extremist activity is being labeled as right wing when most of that kind of behavior seems to come from the left. That’s all I’m saying.

Um what? Extreme left side are wanting open borders! A ridiculous idea of course but you can’t accuse them of being known for racist policy.
We know that extreme right (notice the word extreme) are renowned for some racist policies and ideals.
That is not to say racism doesn’t find its way across all spectrums.

Either way as an Australian I am appauled. Mass shootings in Australia and NZ are unheard of. It is extremely sad. My prayers go out to all the victims and their families.

I would add that people who are very welcoming and embracing of people of all races can be found among those on both the right and the left.

I think you’ll find that mass shootings of this nature have roots in extreme right wing ideology. Many of the perpetrators have proudly left manifestos to leave us in no doubt.

Even if that were true, it has nothing to do with this particular attack, unless to deflect attention from the stated beliefs of this terrorist.

If the borders were open then people would by definition not be crossing them illegally, also this was a right wing attack. While the left do have violent extremists this attack was by all definitions, and described as such by the New Zealand authorities as a right wing attack.

Forgot to add, thoughts to NZ I hope the community there comes together.
