What we know so far,

The murderer is Australian. He was known as a completely normal guy during his years of work and schooling.
His father passed from cancer , then he went travelling. It’s likely his ideas developed during his travels, including N. Korea and Pakistan.
Authorities are investigating links potentially from those travels.

Members of the Bangladesh cricket team were in one of the mosques at the time.

Pray for all involved.

The P.M of N.Z is reviewing gun laws.

I’m not sure you understand what open borders means. If they are open it is not illegal. Anyone can enter. It is a extremist left wing ideology.
 
Care to share those studies? Because others have linked evidence to the contrary.
Anecdotal evidence is not really credible here.

It has been regarded as ‘right wing extremism’ by all involved even the conservative leaders in both NZ and Australia. We shouldn’t be scared of denouncing extremists even if we ourselves tend right. I’ll be voting right in the forthcoming Australian elections myself.

And who exactly is proposing “open borders?” I.e., no checkpoints, no Border Patrol, no nothing.

I understand. The USA doesn’t have open borders. And you’re trying to take this off topic. We were talking about racist extremists and right wingers.

Could you cite the left wing tenets that inspire the mass shootings you are referencing? For example far right wing tenets are white supremacy, neo nazism, ethno nationalism, anti semitism.

Let’s be fair, and by the way, I’m very liberal politically, on most issues. SOME far right wing extremists embrace these racist positions. OTOH, someone could be extreme right wing largely on economic issues, or on the role of government, and not be racist. Then, one could be extreme left wing and be racist.

It’s a terrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the families of the victims. Prayers for New Zealand.
I’m glad the perpetrator was caught(and maybe some accomplices?.)And will be brought to justice.

In the context of this topic, we are only talking about the ideologies behind mass killings which are the ones I listed as stated in manifestos etc.
