Shopping at Midnight after Thanksgiving

When I was young I use to enjoy going down town to shop at the specialty stores. Mix in the shopping with the snow and carols and decorations, and general Christmas spirit it was actualy fun. Much more like in the old movies. I wouldn’t mind taking my kids to an environment like that. Unfortunately it seems like shopping today is a more high stress combative environment.

The first scenario you mention sounds really nice, though! I remember caroling. But, yes, it’s really a very aggressive thing now, black friday, I have HEARD. LOL I haven’t witnessed it myself. Christmas shopping in general has become a rather combative sport. lol I usually don’t shop until the few days before Christmas, as I really enjoy savoring all of advent. It’s been a nice lil tradition we have started.
