On rosary no " Our father" or any thing?
Just with my rosary I say it 10 times?

It’s a stand-alone prayer; it’s just fine once, by itself, whenever the thought occurs to pray it.
For historical comparison, the “real” St. Gertude prayer from the Exercises of St. Gertrude is on p. 534, which is not for the feeble or short-of-attention.
It involves the recitation of all 150 psalms, offering 150 Masses or communions, and giving alms 150 times. They took their work seriously!

You can say the Saint Gertrude prayer by itself without any other prayer before or after.
There is a “Chaplet of Saint Gertrude” that is said with a rosary, and it contains the Saint Gertrude prayer.

Is it possible for you to talk with your priest about your concerns and questions? Maybe he could be your spiritual director, and you could meet with him once a week, or when he has time. I do this with my priest and it is very helpful.

Yes, I’m trying to get into the habit of saying it several times a day,
Prayer doesn’t always have to be very formal or lengthy. Don’t get me wrong; those kinds of devotions are wonderful. But so are short and even informal prayers. They are all pleasing to God!
