While conversing with a friend we discussed how several Christian denominations have what they categorize as “short term mission trips”. They volunteer for maybe one or two weeks to assist with mission work in various countries from Mexico to several African countries.

Can anyone recommend any catholic based websites that may work in this capacity?

How about some mission-minded groups or religious orders that allow something along these lines?

Yes, their are many, however, unfortunately I don’t have the links but if I find them, I’ll post some for you.
I know there was a show on Life on the Rock on EWTN a couple of weeks ago that dealt with just this very thing.
Lots of Catholic Church’s go on Mission trips, check with your Pastor.
