I know that the babies themselves are God’s creations and are human beings in their own right, regardless of their parents’ sin, so they should not be treated any differently. However, as baby showers focus on the parents and their preparation, is there a moral problem with a Catholic attending a shower for which he knows the parents used IVF to get pregnant?

Hi,

Not at all. While we don’t condone the use of in vitro fertilization, what is done is done. Besides, what support one gives does aid the baby.
