Should a "pro-choice" Catholic be denied Communion?

Should a Catholic member of the laity who is pro-choice be denied Communion? I have friends who are pro-choice and are Catholic, and I would like to know if I should mention to them whether or not they should receive the Eucharist at all since they are pro-choice.
 
You can explain to them that Catholics who receive Communion must actually be in full communion with the Church; that a Catholic who deliberately refuses to believe the Church’s teaching on so serious a moral issue as abortion cannot be said to be fully in communion with the Church; and that therefore he should not present himself for the Eucharist when Communion is distributed at Mass. But you yourself cannot “deny” Communion to your friends; only their pastor and/or bishop can do that.
