Should altar servers roam the isles during the sign of peace?

Should altar servers seek out their families to give the sign of peace? Often they have to walk 1/2 way through the church to greet their parents. What is liturgically correct?
 
No. The latest instructions on the Mass clearly state that you are to give the sign of peace to a couple of people closest to you and that’s it.
