The Parents TV Council(which I’m generally not a fan of due to their unfair criticism of South Park) is demanding that this song not be aired between 6 AM and 10 PM on the radio. I generally don’t like censorship, but when listening to the radio peoople have little control what comes on, so some voluntary standards would be a good idea IMO. Since this is so blantantly obsene(they don’t air the F word on radio) I can see how this wouldn’t meet standards.

It wouldn’t bother me if Britney was pulled from the airwaves altogether…I’m tired of seeing and hearing her.

Yes, during the day, yes.

Or else a disclaimer saying that the song is coming up next. I have small kids, and I try to listen to popular/lite music stations.

I would be against pulling it. Censorship can be a two edged sword. Maybe the ACLU would like to pull all songs the contain the word Lord or God because atheists do not want to hear it.

People do have a choice - don’t listen to the stations that play that junk.

I have not listened to a regular broadcast pop/rock music station in at LEAST 3 years.

If you can, Satellite radio is a wonderful option, you can listen to what you want, have a wide selection of styles AND Catholic broadcasting everywhere you go.

Should that not be possible, make tapes or CDs of music you like and take those along. Listen to news radio if you need to hear traffic or weather.

i agree with the above poster.

but. honestly, i dont think its such a bad song. there are worse, more openly direct songs that should have stopped airplay a long time ago. for example - candy shop by 50cent is alot more explicit.

but then again, majority of the media is controlled by atheists that are pro-gay and believe in relativism.

My thoughts are the same as watching a TV show…if you don’t like it …turn it off.

I’d prefer to see a world where nobody cared to listen to present day Britney Spears.
