No. And anyways if I boycotted corporate America because of every issue I have with them, there would be nowhere for me to shop! :nope: And especially I would not boycott H Depot in these econ times if they have something less expensive than a competitor across the street. 🤷

Why not add Levi-Strauss, and Disney to the list.

You realize that Disney owns ABC and several cable channels too right? Along with Pixar, and several other studios.

Why not give your business to a local, small business owned by a Catholic?

Who needs Disney or Levi Strauss???

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

If you want to boycott a company because it has done something to offend you, and you feel it would make a difference, then go ahead. I just wouldn’t be surprised if others didn’t share your commitment.

oh brother…paranoia…once again.

No I am not boycotting Home Depot or any other company.

I think I’ll get in my Ford and go buy a latte at Starbucks and on the way home stop by Home Depot for an impatients hanging basket for my front porch.

Payday tomorrow…Wallyworld on Saturday for grocery shopping. Going to see Sorcerers Apprentice with DH Saturday afternoon. 😃

I consider the AFA to be pathetic and neurotic.

No, I will not boycott a company for giving a few thousand dollars to a few gay pride parades. They sell to gays, and they market some to gays (it appears from this). So would I if I ran a business. As it is, I teach gay students, and we openly work on making the school safe for gay students. That kind of public effort I can stand proudly behind. Maybe I will buy more often from HD now! Thanks for the notice!

I could be wrong, but do forum rules allow for one to simply post a link and nothing more?

I can not answer your thread title as you are only asking christians if christians should boycott home depot.

Would I need to take on your mindset if I were to convert to christianity?
I think the answer would be NO.
But, of course I am open to correction on this from people who can give me a tinsy bit more than their personal opinion and interpretation of catholic church teaching.
I would also like to ask if you have done any investigations on any business owners you have purchased things from while say, on vacation. How do you know what your money is funding everytime you spend it? Do you take the time to investigate all of your purchases?
Are you just as upset with BP now?

Yes, these boycotts are a standard fundraising tool for them, one they use over and over. They will announce a boycott, and initially get a small buzz of promotion of their organization. Then, several months later when their members are bored with the issue, the AFA will find some excuse to declare victory and go home.

These boycotts don’t make a difference. Its simply a PR gimmick for the AFA.

:clapping: :tiphat: God bless you Larkin! Working to keep school safe for a child of God is a very Christian thing to do.

Matt 7:12 All things therefore whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you also to them. For this is the law and the prophets.

Luke 6:31 And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them in like manner.

Yes, you’re only allowed to post links. =)

I already boycott Home Depot anyway. I’m a faithful Lowe’s customer. Home Depot has the WORST lumber in the history of the human race. That stuff isn’t fit for building a dog house or a pig sty! Plus they don’t label their aisles or anything. Their staff is bungling and slow and there’s never anyone at a dang check out aisle. It’s Lowe’s all the way for me anyway LOL

Because good has kept silent for so many decades, evil reins unabated.

Yes, we need to make our voices heard. Yes, I am boycotting HD. I follow all of AFA’s boycotts, and they do have a positive effect.

Home Depot is a gigantic company. Boycotting them isn’t going to do anything because there is no way enough people would actually do it. If you think that by you boycotting them you are making a difference, or having your “voice heard” then go for it by all means. You won’t be getting anywhere by doing it though, just a heads up. Also, boycotting them for giving money to a cause is retarded. Can people get any more idiotic? Seriously I want to know.

I don’t join boycotts that are designed to hurt businesses because they are for equality. I do not join boycotts that foster further discrimination of minorities.
