Should homosexuals pay more insurance?

I am supposed to be retired for health reasons but I have to work for the insurance. Because of my chronic health problems my self-employed husband simply cannot by insurance on the open market. Some (not all) of these problems have life-style aspects. Unfortunately even when you change the life-style elements the problems do not go away.

If the life-style thing applies to me, to smokers, to those with high-risk occupations or hobbies, it should apply across the board to everyone with high risk lifestyles. Otherwise it is discrimination, and we know how the gay lobby hates that.

Of course I assume you mean health insurance or life insurance, not car insurance.

But only if thier studies prove it has a bearing. men pay more at a certain age than women, If you live in a certain zip code your insurnace is higher or lower. Sexual preverence is just one of the 100’s of determining factors that could and should be looked at. I am not sure that in overall numbers it would make a difference, only studies would show that.

It is time to treat medical issues with meidical analysis and not sociology. In our society gay sex is generally frowned upon. So to start living that lifestyle one has overcome a taboo already. Also women get pregnant and even if she is open to abortion it is a downside to free sex. Men don’t have that barrier and when two men hook up it is for thrills. I often wish to ask gay couples or gay men on television how many minutes/hours do you know a man before you sodomize one another? Clearly no one can LOVE someone in a manner of minutes or hours. Many of these liasions are for the quick feel good thrill of sexual orgasm and that’s it. The medical problem is that the human anatomy and spirit is not made to have thousands of anonymous encounters especially anal encounters.

The former president of the AMA said that the anus is the body’s sewer and one should not be surprised that one gets sick when one plays in a sewer. He also said that the old fashioned way of questioning who you slep with when you got an STD kept the spread down. AIDS has been treated as civil rights issue and has allowed the virus to run rampant.

Finally, yes sexually active homosexuals should have to pay higher health premiums to cover the inevitable illness that will come to almost all of them.
