Should I attempt to take on that issue here?

Well, I’m going to see a neurosurgeon on the 10th, to see about getting this thing taken out.

This has been on my mind lately…Sometimes, it seems like I just can’t catch a break, oh well.

One of my buddies just sent me a Protestant, anti-Catholic, chain-email.

I can’t sleep again, maybe if they take this out, it will help… I addressed his email.

Should I attempt to take on that issue here? It might be an unfair advantage, with a gulf-ball size tumor in my head, So, I don’t know if I should. I saw the movie Phenomenon, so I don’t know if the advantage would go to the non-Catholics… or the other way around…Lol,

What should I do?

For my Catholic and non-Catholic friends here, if you want to throw a prayer up there for me… it couldn’t hurt.

Just so you know, I ain’t too worried about it, so you shouldn’t be either. I think it’s benign… just starting a conversation.

Maybe this is just some sort of psychotropic, mind-control brain implant placed there by one of my non-Catholic nemesis’s here at CAF… (tongue in cheek)… lol…

Your thoughts?

I work at a hospital on the Oncology wing so you are definetely in my prayers, also a priest friend of mine, Fr. Kirk Larkin just passed about six months ago from a brain tumor (not to freak you out) and I’m sure you are in his prayers.

UCLA doctors replaced the top half of my right humerus bone a few years ago, because of a bone tumor… said I was cancer-free. It was “capsulized” and “popped out like an egg”. I’m sure they’ll get this one out as well. I hope I don’t have to stay on the Oncology floor again though… lot of noise, can’t sleep in that place… Thank you for your prayers! God bless nurses!

I’ll keep you in my prayers Jimmy B! Just so you know, I’ve been in the same spot as you, so the best advise is to leave this in God’s hands. Last year, I was told that I had cancer, one physician from the emergency room was pretty sure and the other physician wanted more tests but they both agree that I should follow up with my regular physician. Previous to this, three year prior, I had multiple tests - one test would confirm it and the other tests would disprove it. This was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen - I would test out all right and then the next time I came back to the doctor’s office, the symptoms would come back - then I had to take more blood test. I remember the physician who just looked at me, puzzled. So, I have to wait until the next time to be tested - so far so good. The biggest thing - relax, and don’t stress. Whenever the test result comeback - take a deep breath and keep praying and don’t stop praying no matter what the outcome, anything can change with God. No matter what happens.

Years ago, I was hit by a car, the car door handle went through my face and I lost all movement in one of my legs. The total amount of time that I had been bed ridden was about 1 year and then the surgery came. At that time, the physician (surgical physician - and a orthopedic doctor) didn’t know if the surgery would help me walk again - so they remove part of the cartilage in the hip and then I was in traction with weights in order to aline the leg. Afterward, I went through physical therapy and after that I learn to walk with crutches - then solo. Here’s where God’s miracle comes in, I began to walk - 90% usage in my leg, at school I took gymnastics, I ran the 2 - 20 and 4 - 40 and according to my coach - I was a minute behind a state champ.

Know that God will not let you face this on your own - He truly is a Loving God!

Take Care
Mary

That’s an awesome story Mary. Thank you!. I can somewhat relate… I broke my neck and back in an on-duty motorcycle accident and returned to work a year later. My son Michael received a partial scholarship because of it. Thanks again!

I am praying for you. With Jesus, you are strong. Try to rejoice in your sufferings (I know it is very hard but I believe that we are blessed by trials because they bring us closer to Jesus). Peace and God Bless you.

Well Jimmy, on a not-so-serious note, look at it this way ~ if you say anything stupid or out of line, you only have a short amount of time left that you can use the Brain Tumor Card cause soon it will be outta there! 😃

On a serious note, today is my Adoration Hour; I will dedicate half of that hour to you, your health and well-being, and the success of the surgery. (The other half hour had already been promised to my son, whose wife is pregnant with their first child).

Until then, I pray, Dear Lord, please guide the hand of the surgeon removing JimmyB’s tumor. Guide the actions of all the medical personnel helping JimmyB get through this process and please God, let the tumor be benign. Send our Blessed Mother Mary to comfort JimmyB through this process and give him strength and courage to endure. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our Daily Bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil, Amen. God bless you JimmyB.

I’m so very sorry to hear of your problem, Jimmy B, I shall pray for your healing. You’re one of the good guys.

I would dump the friend first, he would definitely go on my spam list and whatever you kids do to block him from your “social network.”
praying all goes well:signofcross:
puzzleannie,
Me and my cowboy buddy, old Virgil, have been friends now for about 25 years… Sometimes, he likes to try to push my buttons… worked against him years ago, in a skins, golf game we played together… :)… I think that deep down inside though, he wants to return to the Catholic Church. He’s in his late 60’s now and is spending more and more time reflecting on his life and his own regrets, like we do when we get older and thinking about God and what happens after we die… and that’s a good thing… I’ve always told my kid’s that regrets never go away and they don’t! So, it’s always better to try to keep them to a minimum as we go through life. I’m praying for him. Thank you for your prayers.

Philotheatoo,

Lol, my daughter told me something similar… good advise… Thank you for your prayers! I’ll be OK… Ain’t none of us getting out of here alive. I was talking to Bill, a Sheriff buddy of mine the other day, he’s going to retire in about a year (32 years of service). He has prostrate cancer and we both agreed that the important thing was to “get ready to meet our maker”.

Thank you for your prayers!

Hi Jimmy B: I am so sorry to hear about your tumor, and I will certainly pray for you. Whatever decision you make in regard to what you do about it, I support that decision completely!

Dear friend Jimmy,
You are in my prayers to our all gracious God in heaven. May He guide the hands and minds of the doctors who are caring for you, and bring you back to full health that you may continue to proclaim His glory.

The neurosurgeon was very good. I will be scheduled soon for removal of the lesion on top of my brain. The 2nd tumor, in the upper, right-rear jaw bone is “complicated”… will need another referral… then biopsy… then hopefully… removal and reconstruction of jaw bone… looks like I will have a few more inconveniences in my life in the near future. Life is full of inconveniences. What are you gonna do? Thanks to all of you for the kind words and prayers!
