Should I attend this wedding?

I am invited to a wedding for some very close friends who I believe are Catholic, but the children were never brought up in the Catholic faith. The children were not raised following any type of faith at all. Is it ok to attend the reception ? They are getting married by a protestant minister and I had no intention of attending the ceremony. Please advise.
