I have Oracle Cards dealing with Angel Therapy by Doreen Virtue. Are they like astrology and should I be using them?

According to her web site, Doreen Virtue claims to be a clairvoyant, “seeing and conversing with what many people call ‘invisible friends’” (source).

“Angel Therapy” supposedly “is a non-denominational spiritual healing method that involves working with a person’s guardian angels and archangels, to heal and harmonize every aspect of life. Angel Therapy also helps you to more clearly receive Divine Guidance from the Creator and angels” (source).

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone (CCC 2116).
I can only recommend that you get rid of these cards immediately and have nothing further to do with this practice.
