Should I break off my engagement if I found pornography on his phone?

Hi, me and my fiance have been engaged for about 2 weeks now. We’ve been together for 10 months, and we have always been happy and never had any problems or arguments. 4 days after he proposed I was looking at his phone and I found he has been looking at pornography on the internet. When I confronted him about it he said he was sorry and he cut off internet on his phone…but I can’t seem to stop it from bothering me. What should we do now? Should I break off the engagement?

Dear friend,

Go very slow. If you don’t break off the engagement; at least postpone the wedding date indefinitely. The fact that such behavior is quite common these days, does not reduce the seriousness of the problem. Marriage does not solve the problem; it only accentuates it.
He needs to distance himself from the internet and come much closer to the Lord.
