Should I confess this?

okay, I am really quite ashamed about this. Recently i showed a desire (to God in prayer) to be able to do magic (i have read the Harry Potter books and watched the TV series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” ). It was really quite foolish of me and I realize it FULLY now. But the next day I actually attempted to “water bend” by turning on the sink faucet and moving my hands around the water to try and make it move. I laugh about it now. but i also realize the seriousness of what I did and am FOREVER sorry.
But I am afraid of confessing it because I am afraid that the Priest will ask questions or come down on me…and all I really want to do is have it forgiven and not worry about it any more.

Hi Chris,

If you turn the water on in a thin stream and then put a comb or brush next to it that you have just run through your hair, the water will bend. It’s not magic–just static electricity.

If you really were trying to compete with God in trying to bend water, then you need to confess it. The priest isn’t going to come down on you. I’m a priest and I have actually shown you how to really bend water.
