Should I Correct This College Application Mistake?

I made a mistake in a college application by choosing the “some college” option as opposed to “bachelor” when asked about my mother’s education. I’m not sure if this will be a problem and wondered if I should contact the university to correct it or leave as is.
 
No, I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not crucial for your application. They use those kind of questions as demographic instruments, not reference points for students. What kind of education your parents had is of little consequence. 🙂
 
Honestly I bet even if you did contact the admissions office a good number of people wouldn’t even bother to go into the database and correct it.

Unless your mother attended that college and they think that they can hit her up for Alumni donations. 😃
 
College admission offices are very busy and probably wouldn’t appreciate a phone call about something so small. Those questions are there for statistics about the college- the occasional inaccurate response won’t affect them significantly.
