I just can’t help but feel guilty for my past sins; especially the mortal sins. It goes like this: I’ll write my sins down on paper, then I’ll go to confession. As soon as I leave the confessional the guilt sets in.
Serious sins that I committed like 13 years ago, I still feel guilty about. I am currently 25 years old.
I have tried praying about this a lot and it doesn’t seem to work. At this point, the guilt is so bad that I am having problems fulfilling my daily duties in my current state of life. What should I do? NO, I didn’t rape anyone(THATS serious), but my sins, as trivial as they are, are just eating away at my core.
Please give me some advice as to what I should do. Should I meditate on Jesus’ passion, or do something like that? Once again, I must say that I am having a very hard time fulfilling my daily obligations in life. I go to school part time because my guilt disturbs me.
Anyway, I would really appreciate it if a priest could answer my post. Hopefully, it’s Father Vincent.
Thanks,
Nathan =)
