Should I feel guilty?

I am concerned that I committed a mortal sin. Yesterday I was venting to a colleague about how i felt my shift were unfair; I had agreed to work any shift but had told my boss in the past I preferred not to work one particular shift that I seemed to get 6 weeks in a row so I was upset that while no one likes the shift I seemed to be the only one working it. While complaining I started to realize that I was partially wrong and so I panicked. I presented the information in a way that while not exactly untruthful made my boss look more unfair than me. I felt guilty about complaining when I have been trying to be better about not doing this. I don’t know if I technically lied or hurt my boss’s reputation by making it seem like she was unfair but I read online that hurting someone’s reputation is “grave” matter and considered a mortal sin. I know I should not have been complaining and should not blame others for my unhappiness. Does this sound like I committed a mortal sin?

Also for clarification I did agree to work any shift but told my boss I would prefer to not work this one particular shift that no one likes but only I have seemed to work in the past 6 weeks. There are other shifts open but my boss seems to still schedule me on this shift. So i felt it was unfair that no one else has to work it and that even though there are other shifts open I still get it. However I see why it is not her fault in that I did agree to work any shift because I needed the money.

Hi,

You didn’t intend to hurt anyone’s reputation. So you did not sin.
