Today I had a dentist’s appointment, but my friend who I never get to see called and wanted me to lunch. I called the dentist’s office and said my car wouldn’t start. I got another appointment for November. How sinful was what I did compared to say abortion, premarital sex, or engaging in occult practices?

Pretty minor. It is a dentist you know 🙂

You won’t be eternally damned, that’s for certain.

Just out of curiosity - were you secretly afraid your dentist would pull out a tooth without anesthesia if you told him the truth? 😉

  1. abortion
  2. premarital sex
  3. rescheduling dentist appointment under false pretenses
  4. engaging in occult practices

I was actually slightly dissapointed because I wanted a free toothbrush and floss. I’m far more afraid of the gyno!😃

If I did that it would be with an awareness that my dentist charges for an appointment if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. And since that wouldn’t be covered by the insurance I think that would be sufficient penance to make up for my lie.
