That is a good question to ask. I believe that the response of the the leaders will be very telling and would help BAnn and her parents make the right decision. If it is truly ecunemical and only there to help the people without proselytizing, they won’t have a problem with her encouraging them to attend mass at their Catholic Church since most will already be Catholic. If their main goal is to “convert”, then their answer will let her and her parents know.

If this doesn’t work out for BAnn, there are many Catholic missionaries which do work like this - many uses college students and some high school students. You and your parents can research them if you truly feel called to do mission work like this. God Bless.
