I’ve been given the opportunity to sit down for an interview on a local, internet-based program. We’d be talking about local television history and that sort of thing, as I’m a historian of sorts in that area.
This show has covered a wide variety of topics over its on time on the “air,” but I’m getting hung up on one aspect: once it visited a local “pride gathering,” and that bothers me.
Of course I can’t get behind that, and that sort of thing doesn’t appear to be the primary focus of this program in general (that was the only objectionable instance I saw), but if I were to go on it, does that show any kind of approval or support of those ideals? A cause for scandal? Am I just overthinking things?
Of course I know that as Catholics we’re not always going to be able to interact with people whose ideology matches up 100% with ours, but it still worries me.
