I’d also suggest to pick your battles. You don’t want to be the guy in the back of the room with their hand up every time the prof opens their mouth. That annoys the teacher and the other students. But, figure out where to draw the battle lines, so to speak, and go with it from there.that’s why I prefaced what I said with “with some exceptions”.
So if it won’t hurt my faith, and if it presents an opportunity to defend it, would it be better for me to stay or go?
I’d suggest stick it out. It could turn out to be a very worthwhile experience. However, if you feel you can’t stand it any longer then take another, but you could end up in another class that is mindnumbingly boring. Also, if this teacher is so offensive you might not be the only one that feels this way and it could be an issue for higher up the food chain too.
