Learn it now, even if you don’t plan on ever avoiding you will find the knowledge useful, even if its just a simple question of should you take a Motrin or some other med or not.

OK - I’m newish to NFP (it wasn’t mentioned at all in RCIA), but I’ve researched it and read a lot of different online resource materials. I understand it, and really for me, it’s just a matter of consistent documentation.

But - What exactly would an instructor do??? That part I still haven’t figured out. Tell me again what I’ve already read? Call every day and ask me if I filled out my chart boxes? Very puzzling.

I learned on my own, bought a book and fiured it out, now if I ever wanted to seriously avoid I think I would take some classes just to make sure I knew all the rules correctly, but thats just me.

Well, my instructor walked me through the information, gave me a slide show, walked me through the books, and answered all my questions. We talked once a month for the first few months, and then every 3 months, and now every 6 months.

She looks over my chart, and helps me interpret it. And, since I have medical issues, she was helpful in locating doctors and discussing my options. Mostly, she’s helpful because I can call/email her anytime and ask any questions that I have. (And, due to my medical problems, I have LOADS of questions, lol) 😛
